Screw Conveyor
A screw conveyor or auger conveyor is a mechanism that uses a rotating helical screw blade, called a "fighting", usually within a tube, to move liquid or granular materials. They are used in many bulk handling industries. Screw conveyors in modern industry are often used horizontally or at a slight incline as an efficient way to move semi-solid materials, including food waste, wood chips, aggregates, cereal grains, animal feed, boiler ash, meat, and bone meal, municipal solid waste, and many others.

Pneumatic Slide Gate
Savitri Steel slide gates are used in a wide variety of applications. They can be used on the bottom of screw conveyors as intermediate discharges, below hoppers as cut off valves, or even as emergency shut off gates to stop material surges.
Savitri Steel slide gates use a pneumatic (air) cylinder to actuate the slide plate open and close. Typically, shop air (approximately 80 psi) is all that is required to power this multi-use gate. The slide plate is guided by bronze-bushed rollers on the bottom and 1/2” thick M.S slide plate retainers on the top. The rollers require no grease and are adjustable in order to provide years of maintenance free service. Replacement parts are easy to source and low cost. Most replacement parts can be sourced from any local parts distributor or fabricated in a short time.
Air Slide
Airslides provide some of the most efficient and practical methods of conveying bulk powder material. With some low pressure air, an aeration bed and a small incline (gravity), we can convey hundreds of tonnes of products over long distances.
Airslides are used extensively in many industries, including mining. They convey homogenous dry powder, including minerals, for use in cement, lime and fly ash. The food industry uses airslides for flour, and many powders in the chemical industry are ideally suited to airslides.
Airslides have no moving parts. They are, therefore, often a far better solution than screw conveyors, drag chains and belt conveyors.
Pendulum Flap Box
Pendulum Flaps in cement preheaters have the function to avoid counter gas flow through material pipes between two stages of the preheater. Such counter gas flow leads to unwanted heat loss and build-up formation in meal ducts and results in drastic reduction of the separation efficiency of the cyclone above. The importance of well functioning pendulum flaps is often neglected by operators. High specific energy consumption (kcal/kg clinker) and poor separation efficiency of the cyclone causing large quantities of re-circulating dust in the system as well as high quantities of dust loss into the kiln filter are the costly consequence. Based on many years of experience gained in cement plants around the world, Savitri Steel has manufactured various types of PENDULUM FLAP which overcomes the problems usually faced with conventional pendulum flaps.
